Eclectic Klavier: Arrangements for 1 and 2 Keyboards

This collection of music has been accumulated over a number of years.  A digital keyboard is used for the majority of input.  Some input is computer generated via a PG Music product called Band in a Box® where accompaniment is used.  The product allows generation of various user styles and instrument assignments.  Files generated can be proprietary or MIDI.  Usually, keyboard input was direct to computer via Power Tracks Pro®, also a PG Music product.  These were generally recorded as .wav files, although a few exist as midi files.  There are no acoustic recordings, so all the material is generated via electronic keyboard and computer software.

The bulk of the music consists of jazz arrangements of standards.  There is some music which is less well known, and there are some blues and gospel arrangements.  There is also some pop, Christmas and classical music, although the latter never seems to succeed without the resonance of an acoustic piano.  A lot of the styles are very much a reflection of some very fine performers, and the inspiration for each selection is referenced so that you can listen to the music as it should be properly played.  Any originality of arrangement probably arises from limitations in my technique.  Unless the keyboard input is in MIDI format there is no formal musical notation for most of this music - partly because I don’t read music very well.

Users of this site are encouraged to make use of any of the files for their own enjoyment.  You may find an instrumental background which suits you, and, if you have the software, you can make any changes you wish.  Because I have put this material on the web, I make no claim to ownership or copyright.  A lot of it is awfully close to being someone else’s intellectual property anyway.  None of it belongs to anyone else, so make use of what you will, and I hope you enjoy the process as I have.
