Sudden cardiac death can occasionally occur in younger people without known heart disease. Occasionally ECG clues will be present in such persons as they present with premonitory symptoms such as palpitations or syncope. These are probably not rare events. Included disorders are Brugada Syndrome, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and Long QT Syndrome. Each of these disorders is covered as a separate topic if this is preferred.
